It is with immense pleasure that I recount the  incredible  journey   of Assam Sishu Kalyan  Sadan,  Jalukbari,  Guwahati  a  home  for  the  underpriviledged  children, encompassing its inception, mission, individuals behind  this  noble  endeavour  and upcoming steps towards elevating the journey.

The Assam Sishu Kalyan Sadan was established in the year 1956 at the initiative of late Amalprava Das, a great social worker and a few others with a mission to help the underpriviledged children of the society. The aim of the Sadan is not only to provide for the basic amenities of life i.e, food, clothes and shelter to the children but also to train them up to become good citizens of the society.

With the collective support of the members of the managing committee, well wishers and the broader community in general, we are making efforts to impart a better life style to the inmates of the Sadan. Over the years, the Sadan has received financial helps from the Government of Assam, different individuals and organizations. It is because of such gestures the Sadan has attained its present status and can proclaim its glorious existence of seventy years. We hope that such generosity will be forthcoming during the days to come.
